There are two brands that seem to be the most popular when it comes to outdoor scatter cushions, and Gardenista is one of them. Just like their closest rivals ‘Izabela Peters’, Gardensita have various collections available consisting of a wide range of colours and designs. For our first review though, we decided to keep things simple and offer up their plain colours selection for your attention.

There are 12 colours to choose from altogether, and these range throughout the colour spectrum from the darkest black, to brightest yellow.

Made from 100% polyester, the removable covers are a cinch to remove and can be thrown in the washing machine at 30 degrees to bring them out like new again. Inside the cushions is hollow fibre filling, and this makes them super-soft and wonderfully comfortable.

At 18 inches by 18 inches, they are the perfect size for throwing on top of all kinds of garden furniture, they are large enough to provide extra padding and comfort, but not so big that they will get in the way or take up too much space.

Overall, these are fantastic outdoor scatter cushions, and are available at a very reasonable price, so you won’t be out of your ‘comfort’ zone when you have get your credit card bill.

By now, we should all be aware of the dwindling bee population, and how important it is to take care of them. However, a good way to remind yourself and your family is with these stunning, bee print, outdoor scatter cushions from top selling brand Izabela Peters.

Izabela Peters cushions are well known for looking fantastic, and this particular collection has to be one of my favourites. Featuring gold bee silhouette patterns on a selection of twelve different coloured backgrounds, they are certainly eye catching, while somehow remaining slightly understated at the same time, and the effect is amazing.

There are two main patterns; multiple smaller gold bees set in off-set rows, or a single larger gold bee in the centre, and both look so good it was hard to choose my favourite, but I would say it was a toss up between the multiple bees on a grey background, and a single bee on graphite.

Measuring 16 inches by 16 inches, these cushions are a little smaller than the gardenista ones we reviewed above, but not really so much as to be noticeable at first glance.

The padding in the cushions makes them extremely comfortable to rest upon, although they will need a full day to get that way at first, due to the fact they have been compressed packed.

Easy to clean, and treated with an antifungal agent, the cushion covers are also water resistant and machine washable. All of this combined means that you have some very hard wearing outdoor cushions that are sure to last.

These bright cushions are just the thing to breathe a bit of life into some plain wooden or plastic garden furniture, adding a splash of colour where it is needed most, and despite their colourful designs, they never feel too ‘loud’ or over the top.

One of the best things about this collection is that they have been designed to be mixed and matched, so you can get a nice selection and know they will not clash with each other.

The quality of the cushions is right up there with the best of them, they are really comfy thanks to their fibre filling, and the covers are made from a waterproof fabric that makes dealing with spills a simple matter of wiping with a cloth or sponge.

These 43cm (17 inches) square outdoor cushions are a great size, that won;;t look out of place anywhere, no matter if it is on an old iron bench in the garden, or improving the look of a plastic chair on a balcony or patio. They are a little bit more expensive than some of our other featured products, but the quality of the Bean Bag Bazaar scatter cushions is excellent.

The first thing you notice about these Shopisfy waterproof, outdoor cushions, is that they are nice and thick, and although that isn’t always proof of good comfort, it is usually a pretty good sign.

Filled with foam crumbs, they are both soft and malleable, and it’s so easy to get comfortable lying on them as they sink and mold around you. Once you’re done longing around, a quick puffing up gets them looking as good as new again in seconds.

The covers are removable and machine washable, although you shouldn’t have to throw them in there too often as most spills can be dealt with via a damp cloth. This fabric is also fire retardant, so you don’t have to worry about having the garden furniture too close to the BBQ this summer.

At 18 inches square, the Shopisfy outdoor scatter cushions are around the average size, and they are available in 14 different colours/patterns. My personal favourite is the cartoon owl sat on a branch. It combines the modern with the traditional in a really nice way, and the contrasts of the darker purples against the white background are marvelous.

I also like the buying options with these cushions, allowing you to purchase either 1,2,4,6, or 8 pieces at a time.

Onto another wonderful Izabela Peters collection now, only this time the focus is on common garden flowers.

There’s a choice of four flowers, those being: The Poppy, Rose, Hydrangea, and the Rhododendron. With a choice of background colours for each of these, it brings the total number of choices to twenty-three, and all of them are worth more than a second look. However, if I had to pick a favourite, I would probably go with the Rhododendron on a mustard backdrop. It just has the right mix of dark and bright tones for me.

The quality of these cushions is the same as with Izabela Peters’ other collections, that is; excellent. They are very thick and soft, and covered in a breathable fabric that is also fire retardant and water resistant.

A little bit smaller than average at 16×16 inches, but still a good size for garden furniture, they have been treated with an antifungal agent, something that will come in very handy if you store them in a garage during winter, or under a cover outside.

These are stunning looking, ultra-comfy, outdoor cushions, but at around 25 pounds each, they might seem a bit pricey for some people, particularly if you need to buy quite a few for some large furniture. If you have the money though, they are some of the best out there.

Currently on sale for just under 17 pounds, this colourful range of outdoor cushions from Gardenista are a great deal that you would be wise to snatch up.

The multicoloured patterns that you can choose from the vast majority of them tend to have a floral theme, but it is done in a way that gives them a more modern edge, and not old fashioned at all. For example, there are some that have a large single flower that takes up most of the front of the cushion, but it looks like it has been painted on with water colours and the effect is fantastic. Another resembles rain drops of assorted colours, and that too would look great anywhere.

As with the other gardenista waterproof scatter cushions, they have the same ultra-comfy, hollow fibre insides, wrapped in 100% polyester covers to make them resistant to water, fore, dirt, and grime, and ensuring that they stay looking great for years to come.

The covers are fully removable, and can be washed in a machine as long as you follow the recommended temperature of 30 degrees Celsius.

At the current price, these really are a great deal, so it would be a shame to miss out on adding some extra colour to your patio furniture in such an affordable way.

Personally, I’ve never cared very much for paisley patterns of any kind, but I have to hold my hand up and say that these actually look great. I was especially interested in the blue and yellow one that features all sorts of shapes, including concentric circles, leaf prints, and water droplets. I know it sounds like a strange combination, but they make up a very beautiful pattern that I’d be happy to decorate my garden swing seat with any day.

Of course, these cushions have the same polyester coverings and foam crumb filling, so they are undoubtedly soft and a delight to lay on. They also share the same hard-wearing qualities of all the top products featured today, such as water resistant, easy to clean, etc.

At 18 inches by 18 inches, they sit in that ‘perfect size’ bracket for these products, and at their current price, I think they are a very competitive product. To be honest, all of these outdoor scatter cushions we have featured in this list of reviews are excellent, and I doubt anyone would be unhappy with them, so it’s just a matter of choosing which colour or pattern you like best.
